...wandering into a wooded night, the sky flashes unearthly bright, silhouette of an enormous, antlered figure. Your ears may not translate Outlands' building, tribal sounds that coalesce from chants, guitar building from meditative to Earth-shattering riffs, eternal grooves, and a general sense of mysticism, into my own ocular imaginings. You may not see the sky crack open when Szymon Ewertowski and Adrian Gadomski sing that last, guttural "Higher!" Music is subjective. Outlands is incredible.

All of this apologetic wrist wringing of the vocals is extremely lame. They are awesome. That said, I am a fan of Unsane, Drive Like Jehu, Barkmarket, and Big Black. Strong release.
